On the other hand I have seen British family take a bottle of wine with flower bouquet as a gift for house warming. I went to visit a friend of mine in India recently as she has settled down with her husband there. I went to her new house and lives with her in laws, I took a bottle of wine with some flowers, I received an incredible reception, I felt like I was in a 5 star Ritz hotel, it was great. Last week I went to my English friend’s home with bottle of wine but here I was thanked in a different way.
